Wet Weather Road Hazards: Motorists asked to drive to conditions

No longer on display. Expired on 31 August 2022, 05:00 PM

Council is requesting the community to drive safely to current conditions. Sustained heavy rain across the region has resulted in dangerous road conditions, with slippery unsealed surfaces, potholes, and damage to road shoulders.

Council asks motorists to be patient, allow extra travel time, and drive to conditions both for personal safety, safety of others, and to prevent further damage to the roads.

Council maintains approximately 930km of roads in the Uralla Shire and ongoing maintenance to our sealed and unsealed roads is an important part of our works programming. Motorists are encouraged to report potholes and other road hazards to Council, however dry weather is necessary for Council to conduct repair to the roads.
