At its Ordinary Meeting held on 25 February 2025 Council resolved to exhibit the Policy for Policy Making.

The objective of the policy is to establish Uralla Shire Council’s standards for developing and reviewing policies to ensure consistency, high quality, and accessibility of policy documents for Council Officers and the community. It aims to enhance transparency, governance, and risk management by providing clear guidelines for all policy-related activities.

The Policy will be on display until 28 March 2025.

As always Council welcomes community feedback to its Policies and invites comments and feedback form interested community members until 5:00 pm 28 March 2025.

Council is committed to openness and transparency in its decision-making processes. The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 requires Council to provide public access to information held unless there are overriding public interest considerations against disclosure. Any submissions received will be made publicly available unless the writer can demonstrate that the release of part or all the information would not be in the public interest. However, Council would be obliged to release information as required by court order or other specific law.
