The NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund Round 5 opened 5 August 2022 with applications closing 23 September 2022 at 5:00pm.
Grant funding allocated for community organisations in the Uralla Shire Local Government Area is $407,088 and Council encourages eligible community groups to apply.
The program objective of the Stronger Country Communities Fund Round 5 is to boost the wellbeing of communities in regional areas by providing new or upgraded social and sporting infrastructure, or community programs that have strong local support.
A total of $160 million is available under Round 5, including up to $50 million for projects delivered by eligible community organisations.
Projects must be for infrastructure or community programs that boost the wellbeing of regional areas through improved amenity and positive social outcomes. Funding is available for local community and sporting infrastructure, street beautification, projects enhancing accessibility and inclusion for people with disability, projects improving outcomes for Aboriginal people, and community programs and local events.
This program is administered by Department of Regional NSW.
The Department of Regional NSW will be hosting an online information session on 17 August 2022 including an overview of the program guidelines and participants will be able to ask questions about the program and the application process.
