Glass Bottles & Jars

yellow-bin.jpg Empty glass bottles and jars can be recycled in your yellow-lid kerbside recycling bin.

You can also recycle glass bottles and jars at your nearest Uralla Shire Waste Management Facility.

To prepare glass bottles and jars for recycling:

  • Remove lids or caps.
  • Empty all glass bottles and jars of food waste. To help conserve water, you can rinse glass bottles and jars in used washing up water.
  • You do not need to remove labels from glass bottles or jars.

Please note that other types of glass including plate glass, drinking glasses, ceramics and treated glass (eg Pyrex) cannot be placed in your yellow-lid recycling bin and should instead be placed in your red-lid general waste bin.
