Tablelands Community Transport
Tablelands Community Transport offers a transport service to eligible clients so they can continue to live an independent life by providing access to the community. We deliver individual or group transport with the assistance of one of our friendly paid or volunteer drivers so you are able to get to the shops, a medical appointment or to enjoy a social outing.
Who is eligible for this service?
You may be eligible to access this service if you are living independently within Armidale Regional Council LGA and Uralla Shire Council LGAs and are frail, aged or care for someone who is not able to access existing public or private transport services.
How can I access this service?
If you are over 65 or over 50 for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders you need to be registered with the My Aged Care. They will arrange to complete an assessment for services you may require.To make a referral for yourself or another person through My Aged Care click here or call 1800 200 422.
If you are under 65 or 50 for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders and you are unable to access public transport, please call our office on (02) 6778 6450 and one our friendly staff can assess your transport needs and determine if you are eligible.
Services Provided

We operate a community bus from Uralla into Armidale every second Friday. This door-to-door service will pick you up from your home to provide access to the shops and return you home at designated pick-up times.

Individual transport to your next medical appointment.

Monthly bus outings provide transport in a small group setting to different places of interest throughout the New England Area.

Our subsidised taxi scheme offers additional and flexible assistance, so you are able to access the community when you need to.

Monthly Shopping Bus to major shopping centers, in Tamworth and Inverell, as booked.
